9 अगस्त 1942 को भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन की घोषणा के बाद से ही पूरे देश में आजादी की ज्वाला धधक रही थी। लखीसराय भी उस माहौल में गरम था। राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी के आह्वान पर स्थानीय क्रांतिकारियों ने करो या मरो का नारा देते हुए अंग्रेजों भारत छोड़ो की जयघोष की और अंग्रेजों को खदेड़कर पहली बार बड़हिया रेलवे स्टेशन एवं हाई इंगलिश स्कूल पर तिरंगा फहराया। आजादी के गदर में अंग्रेजों भारत छोड़ो मिशन के तहत क्रांतिकारियों का जत्था 13 अगस्त 1942 को जब लखीसराय स्टेशन पर पहुंचा तो अंग्रेजों ने जुलूस पर अंधाधुंध गोलियां बरसानी प्रारंभ कर दी। जिसमें जिले के आठ वीर क्रांतिकारी सपूत शहीद हो गये। जिसमें बड़हिया प्रखंड के सदायबीघा गांव के बैजनाथ सिंह, बड़हिया इंगलिश के जुलमी महतो एवं बनारसी सिंह, बड़हिया निवासी महादेव सिंह एवं परशुराम सिंह, महसोड़ा के दारो सिंह, सावनडीह के झरी सिंह एवं सलौनाचक के गुज्जु सिंह की शहादत आज भी इतिहास के पन्नों में अंकित है। उन वीर सपूतों की याद में जिला मुख्यालय स्थित शहीद द्वार के पास शहीद स्मारक के नाम से लगा शिलापट्ट आज भी शासन व प्रशासन का मुंह चिढ़ा रहा है। स्थानीय राजनीति व प्रशासन की उदासीनता के कारण उक्त शहीद स्थल पर पेशाब खाने हैं व चाय नास्ते की दुकान सजती है। सामाजिक संगठनों व क्षेत्रीय जनप्रतिनिधियों ने भी उक्त शहीद स्मारक भवन निर्माण के प्रति कभी पहल नहीं की। स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के गवाह रहे जिंदगी के अंतिम पड़ाव में संघर्ष कर रहे स्वतंत्रता सेनानी रामदेव सिंह उर्फ हुकुम बाबा बड़े ही दुखी मन से कहते हैं कि हमारे साथियों ने अपने खून से देश को आजादी दिलाई लेकिन आज समाज व शासन प्रशासन का नैतिक पतन हो चुका है। वे कहते हैं पहले की गुलामी आज की आजादी से कहीं बेहतर थी।

The parliament sat numbed, in an otherwise engaging November evening, when President Barack Obama, head of one of the two largest democracies, reminded the other that it had largely shied away from condemning suppression of democratic rights and movements. Obama's specific reference was to Myanmar and India's imperviousness to the military junta's rigged elections and repression of democracy groups.

That this reference followed an exuberant praise of India's support to South Africa's anti-apartheid movement indicated a veiled rebuke of India's current policy of engaging whoever is in power in a country of interest.

Mubarak likely to step down under US brokered deal

Neither is Washington an immaculate chevalier of the democracy sacrament. In fact, half of the world's autocrats owed their existence to American backing. Yet, at the risk of throwing stone from a glasshouse, Obama could question India's diminishing contribution to the global democracy cause, especially when it aspires to be permanently ordained in the UN Security Council.

Between them, India and the US have issued half-a-dozen joint statements in the past decade, with platitudinous reaffirmation of their common democratic virtues and commitment to its promotion globally. New Delhi, though, has hardly moved a finger in fulfilling this mission, often relegating such processes as the internal affairs of a country.

Simply so, its discreet silence and reclusiveness ever since the Jasmine Revolution swept the Arab world belies its trappings of an emerging global power. Though ignoring the turbulence in a less-prominent Tunisia was affordable to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Egyptian upheaval has put South Block into a diplomatic dilemna. At the heart of the matter is New Delhi's reluctance to write off President Hosni Mubarak, who, like for the US and Israel, has been a long-time friend of New Delhi since the Non-Alignment days.

Despite the elephantine street protests, India convincingly feels Mubarak might pull through, at least temporarily, until a transition to a new regime. Misplaced fears of a potential embarrassment from a pro-democracy statement if Mubarak manages to survive have forced a pathetic timidity in the MEA, which could not even garner the courage shown by Washington through its fairly balanced exhortation of an 'orderly transition'.

The roots of the MEA predicament lie not in its 'realist' policy transmutation of engaging useful regimes irrespective of their political attire. India's insensitivity towards the 'revolution' could rather be attributed to the absence of a policy on how to approach political emancipation movements in the neighbourhood and farther out. After decades of Nehruvian-inspired crusades in favour of freedom struggles, third world empowerment and nuclear have-nots, India's enhanced power profile, spurred by its astonishing economic growth, had prompted it to place itself among the global elite, but without appreciation of the responsibilities that comes with such elevation.

Driven by enlightened national interest, India has competitively engaged autocrats and juntas in its increasing bid to outmanoeuvre the Chinese influence in its strategic hinterland, extending up to Africa. Lost in this policy transformation was its ideological conviction on democracy and the will to endorse popular movements.

Egyptian journalist quits state TV

The turmoil in Egypt is an acid test which though also endows an opportunity to frame a long-term policy on its approach to popular movements and political turmoil. For, soon to follow on the heels of Egypt could be similar exigencies in volatile nations, including Yemen, Syria and Iran, and possibly even in the neighbourhood, in Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan.

A principled stand on such issues also becomes a pre-qualification for the UNSC ambition, more so being a billion-strong democracy. An Indian contribution to the democracy discourse is significant considering the dichotomies and prejudices that has emerged during the Bush years. Even while issuing joint statements with the Bush administration on promotion of democracy, New Delhi had not endorsed the Bush doctrine of forced regime change in tumultuous zones like the Middle East and Africa.

The Egyptian case embodies the diplomatic quandary for external powers forced to respond to political movements in regions known for their ethnic fault-lines, and where democracy has little rooting. The underlying theme of the Egyptian movement is to gain an inalienable right for the people to decide their destiny. Egyptians are revolting against a decades-old system wherein power elites subverted the means of popular determination and unilaterally determined the nation's course.

The permeation of the Jasmine Revolution across the Arab world, and potentially to Africa and Middle East, could largely be attributed to the fact many of the nations in these regions are governed by autocracies, Mukhabarat (military-intelligence) regimes, and in some cases theocracies, all of which gives only marginal space for people's will.

Attack on journos in Egypt unacceptable, says U.S.

A post-Mubarak transition need not necessarily end up in a pure democratic system, rather could even lead to another semi-autocracy or a junta. Like in Pakistan, the army holds the reins of Egypt's political system. Notwithstanding its sympathies for the movement, its plans for the transition are ambiguous. For, in a highly-fractured polity with no credible alternatives, the army will be self-empowered to preside over the transition. Fears of the radical Muslim Brotherhood attaining sway have gained traction, which could encourage a long-term military involvement to ensure moderation.

Considering this scenario, an outright support to the movement might not be prudent. Rather, the Indian approach should be to back a reform process that could facilitate a free-and-fair franchise to determine the future of the nation. Ultimately, Egyptians will have to decide their destiny, even if it is for an Islamic republic or an Islamocracy.

Its true,India has very little respect for any other sports than cricket. I feel it is all because of the media and the political support it gets due to the fact that cricket earns more cash than any other sports in the current Indian sports scenario. But if someone wants to really push other games to the forefront, it needs only a fraction of the money earned by cricket. so to think of this situation, why is the sports association not diverting its cash flow from cricket to other sports and give some support to other players.

Always it s combined effort on the world stage that matters when it comes to Olympics or CWG or any thing that represents the country.

In this CWG 2010 Delhi our sports man ranked 2nd amongst all the 72 participating countries. India's National Games is Hockey. Hockey federation is in Financial Crunch, they are not able to provide Players to a good infrastructure and other facility.Unfortunately a few corporate sponsors like Tata, Jindal, Mahindra etc., are concentrating only on the upper crest of some of the games.

It is high time that sports organizations are managed by experienced sports persons only with real life experience and government plays only the role of a facilitator.This will bring glory to the nation as we have enough talent in this country .

In order to revive the sport arena of our country, professionalism should be placed first on priority. Politics, religion, caste, class or language should not be the yardstick of measurement for selecting the organizers or the athletes. The government should bring in professionals to head these bodies.

The media should leave behind its bias of glorifying cricket and marginalizing other sports events. It should give due importance to the stars like Abhinav Bindra, Gagan Narang, Saina Nehwal and others, which will encourage the future generations to follow the path of these real stars.

It is high time that we should focus on the basic forms of sport - athletics, gymnastics and swimming - the building blocks of all sport. Organizers should direct their focus on winning medals rather than participating in many events. Efforts should be taken to keep the spirit alive in individual events such as chess, shooting, tennis, boxing, billiards etc where Indian players are exceptionally well at. The Sports Authority of India should take a lead in promoting the various sports events so that the lost glory returns to many of our games that they had before.

Who thought when Pt.Nehru was taking Kashmir Issue to UNO for Peace Will become the combustive reason For South East Asia.(India, Pakistan & China).

Nehru was a Kashmiri and he thought he was better suited to handle the Kashmir issue. He thus took the ill fated step of dealing with this problem himself and did not allow Patel the home minister to have anything to do with it.

Nehru & Kashmir:-

Nehru always was in his own dreams throughout. He thought that India did not need an army as there is no way India will go to wars. India is a peace loving country.Same way he thought that if he was sincere and took every issue to the UN, respect for India will increase. He was never a shrewd person that politics demanded.

Also he trusted his friend Sheikh Abdulla. Sheikh Abdulla commanded great following among Kashmiri Muslims those days. Based on the trust, Nehru promised plebiscite in the UN. But within no time Sheikh changed his word and started dreaming a separate Kashmir. Nehru then jailed Sheikh Abdulla and refused to hold a plebiscite in 1953 within 5 years of proposing the same.

Raja Hari Singh & Kashmir:-

Nehru allowed Sardar Patel to have control of annexing all the other princely states except Kashmir saying that Kashmir being his native place, he knows better on how to deal with it. Sardar achieved success everywhere and many people believe that this deviation has put India in trouble.

Also in local Kashmiri politics, Nehru always sided with Sheikh Abdulla and never liked Raja Hari Singh. The Raja felt insecure to be part of India led by Jawaharlal Nehru. He worried that once the instrument of accession is signed he will be put behind bars by Nehru and Sheikh.Everybody Knows that Maharaja Hari Singh signed the Accession paper on October 26, 1947 under which the state acceded ti India.

The world has shrunk and a regional conflict can engulf the whole world, especially because India and Pakistan are both nuclear powers. Therefore, the world community should not ignore the plight of the Kashmiris, who are writing their tales of woe in blood. It should come forward and stop the injustice meted out to them at the hands of the Indians. Dr. Martin Luther King very aptly remarked: “The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people, but the silence over that by the good people”.

How much a country's leader is paid compared to GDP per person

ON MONDAY July 5th Raila Odinga, Kenya's prime minister, rejected the pay increase he was awarded by the country's parliament last week. MPs had granted Mr Odinga a rise to nearly $430,000 a year, while giving themselves a 25% increase to $161,000. This boost would place Mr Odinga among the highest-paid political leaders in the world. More worryingly, his salary would be some 240 times greater than the country's GDP per person (measured on a purchasing-power parity basis). Lee Hsien Loong, the prime minister of Singapore, tops our list of selected leaders' salaries. He is paid more than 40 times the city-state’s GDP per person. At the other end of the scale, Manmohan Singh, the prime minister of India, reaffirms his reputation for saintliness by taking a modest sum from Indian taxpayers.

Every year world celebrates World Environment Day on 5th of June.World Environment Day (WED) is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action.
The agenda is to give a human face to environmental issues; empower people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development; promote an understanding that communities are pivotal to changing attitudes towards environmental issues; and advocate partnership which will ensure all nations and peoples enjoy a safer and more prosperous future.

2010 Theme:-
Many Species. One Planet. One Future.

The year 2010 has been designated the International Year of Biodiversity by the U.N., with the theme “Biodiversity is Life - Biodiversity is Our Life”.

U.N.E.P. etimates that the world contains between 5 million and 100 million species. Scientists have thus far identified only about 2 million species. Of these, 17,291 species are known to be threatened with extinction -- primarily because of human activity, such as clearing of forests, draining of wetlands, over-fishing, and emissions of heat-trapping gasses that cause warming of the Earth.
A/C to UNEP “A world without biodiversity is a very bleak prospect. Millions of people and millions of species all share the same planet, and only together can we enjoy a safer and more prosperous future,”

Please use these methods in your day to day life to save the Environment.
1. Reduce my power consumption by turning off the lights when they are not being used.
2. Install a water efficient shower head.
3. Turn off computers when not in use.
4. Reduce my petrol/diesel consumption by traveling by public transport or by walking.
5. Set my washing machine to wash clothes in cold water.
6. Increase my re-use and recycling, refusing to buy packaging.
7. Take re-useable shopping bags to the supermarket.
8. Investigate ways to off-set my carbon footprint.
9. Switch to “green power.
10.Switch off a light and see if you can still work comfortably. Most of the times we have too many lights on in our offices and home.

Since there's never been a better time to go vegetarian, we thought we'd let you in on our Top 10 Reasons Not to Eat Meat. They speak for themselves, so without further ado, here they are.

1. Help the Poor
While there is ample reason for indignation at the 100 million tons of grain used for biofuels, more than seven times as much grain (760 million tons) is fed to farmed animals so that people can eat meat.

2. Stop Cruelty to Animals
On today's factory farms, animals are crammed by the thousands into filthy windowless sheds, wire cages, gestation crates and other confinement systems. These animals will never raise families, root in the soil, build nests or do anything that is natural and important to them.

3. Save the Environment
A recent United Nations report entitled Livestock's Long Shadow concludes that eating meat is "one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global". The report finds that eating meat causes almost 40 per cent more greenhouse-gas emissions than all the cars, trucks, ships and planes in the world combined.

4. Avoid Bird Flu
The World Health Organisation says that if the avian flu virus mutates, it could be caught simply by eating undercooked chicken flesh or eggs, eating food prepared on the same cutting board as infected meat or eggs, or even touching eggshells contaminated with the virus.

5. Prolong Your Life
Vegetarians live six to 10 years longer on average than meat-eaters do. Healthy vegetarian diets support a lifetime of good health and provide protection against numerous diseases and the three biggest killers – heart disease, cancer and strokes.

6. Avoid the World's Number One Killer
The risk of developing heart disease among meat-eaters is 50 per cent higher than it is among vegetarians. Drs Dean Ornish and Caldwell Esselstyn have used a vegan diet to prevent and reverse heart disease. Dr Esselstyn's book documents their 100 per cent success with unclogging people's arteries and reversing heart disease.

7. Reduce Your Risk of Cancer
According to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, "Vegetarians are about 40 percent less likely to get cancer than non-vegetarians, regardless of other risks such as smoking, body size, and socioeconomic status".

8. Fit Into a Bikini
Vegetarianism is the ultimate weight-loss diet. About 31 per cent of urban Indians are either overweight or obese, but only 2 per cent of vegans are obese. A vegetarian diet is the only diet that has passed peer review and taken weight off and kept it off.

9. Create Global Peace
Leo Tolstoy claimed that "vegetarianism is the taproot of humanitarianism". His point? If we want to sow the seeds of peace, we need to eat a peaceful diet. Eating meat supports killing animals just to satisfy humans' acquired taste for flesh.

10. Discover the Joy of Veggies
Vegetarians report that when they adopt a vegetarian diet, their range of foods explodes from a limited selection of centre-of-the-plate meat items to a wide range of grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables that they didn't even know existed.

Today is the last day of year...2009.After some hours we are going to enter into a new day of course with the beginning of new year 2010.

This year in 2009,I have seen many high and lows of my life.

Currently at this time I am unable to take any type of decision what to write or what not to write? In 2009, I had gained lots of experience from the world.(World included my personal experience,professional experience,social experience)

From Personal Experience:- After completion of my 2 month Summer Internship in Anandrathi Financial Services Ltd, I gained how to learn from the others and got the ability to understand psychological behavior of people.

From Professional Experience:- In the last week of August, I received a call from Maersk Global Service Center India Pvt Ltd, Pune, on the designation of Finance Trainee.....a good enough post to start up my career. Here I am able to use all the management skills upto my fullest. Here I started to acquire knowledge from my colleagues & I heartly think that this will continue in the forthcoming year 2010. Have started expecting more responsibility than now.

From Social Experience:- Cant say anything much about my social experience...almost it was adventurous.

Here I would like to state a saying which I have started utilizing in my life.....

Because of his wisdom and sensitivity, many People groups claimed St. Nicholas as their patron saint. Children, orphans, sailors, and even thieves often prayed to the compassionate saint for guidance and protection. Entire countries, including Russia and Greece, also adopted him as their patron saint, as well as students and pawnbrokers.
St. Nicholas tried to help others while inspiring the to imitate his virtues.The image of the stately saint was transformed onto an almost mystical being, one known for rewarding the good and punishing the bad.
St. Nicholas' Day is still observed in many countries, and gifts are exchanged in honor of the spirit of brotherhood and charity that he embodied.
In some countries, the festivities of St. Nicholas' Day were merged with Christmas celebrations, and although the gift-bearer took on new, non-religious forms, he still reflected the saints generous spirit.
In Germany, he appeared as Weihnachtsmann, in England as Father Christmas, and in France, as Pèrè Noël, who left small gifts in the children shoes.
AMERICA:- In the 1600's, the Dutch presented Sinterklaas (meaning St. Nicholas) to the colonies. In their excitement, many English-speaking children uttered the name so quickly that Sinterklaas sounded like Santy Claus. After years of mispronunciation, the name evolved into Santa Claus.
Because of his goodness Santa is very essence, in every kindness we do, Santa will always be remembered.

Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Some Days before i find a mail in my mail box,Its related to Sachin Tendulkar and SENSEX. It was a worth while reading mail.In this mail there are positive Co-Relation between A world Famous Indian Cricketer Sachin Tendulker and also a reputed Financial institution Index SENSEX (Bombay Stock Exchange).This is a case study for Financial Market Research Analyst.

When Sachin Makes a century or making a good score,the BSE Index Sensex goes Up,thats means market has gone up. Some of The statistics are taken from 2000 to 2009.
U. W. M. B. C. A. Welegedara (yes, those initials are right!) is the new hero of Sri Lankan cricket. As a late replacement in just his second Test match, yesterday he cleaned bowled the great Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar - for just four runs.

And that's not good news for the Indian stock market.

Sachin Tendulkar is, arguably, the best batsman ever. He's certainly scored more runs in international cricket than anyone else – nearly 30,000 of them. When he hammers a century on home soil, the whole country cheers right up. Including the Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensitive Index (Sensex).

This Bloomberg chart below indicates that on 75% of trading days after a domestic Tendulkar ton – the blue bars show the daily percentage move - the Sensex rose. Indeed, the index ticked up following each of the last seven centuries by the 'Little Master'. So any more swing bowling successes from Mr Welegedara won't go down too well with the local stockbrokers.

But there's a much bigger picture here. The Sensex has more than doubled from its early-March lows. And despite last year's massive sell-off, the index has risen almost three times in five years to within 18% of the all-time high in January 2008.

Now the Sensex is looking ripe for a pullback. Firstly, the Indian Reserve Bank has started tightening monetary policy and "higher policy interest rates are only a matter of time", says Kevin Grice at Capital Economics. Interest rate hikes are generally bad for share prices as they increase the returns investors can get elsewhere.

Second, as Grice also points out, "valuations are now expensive, and the risk that the near-term outlook surprises on the downside appears far greater than the possibility that India's economy can continue to beat expectations". In other words, the market is pricing in plenty of good news that may well not materialise.

Somebody rightly said whats in a name?But Now a Days Name is Everything.For the sake of small publicity a big and powerful group of people change anyone's name.Some days before i heard a news orrisa government has changed Orissa to Odisha.And their local language oriya is now Odia.
A few year back Banglore were getting used to Bengaluru, they've decided to add another tongue-twister to your vocabulary.And Another recent controversy of Name recent released film "Wake Up Sid" In this Film the actor used word Bombay Instead Of Mumbai.And for this director-producer Karan Johar who was forced to not just issue a public apology on the use of `Bombay' but also add a disclaimer to his film `Wake Up Sid'.

In times where being politically correct means not asking uncomfortable questions, the change in nomenclature was approved by the Union Cabinet without discussion. It will get Parliament's nod soon enough.

While Shiv Sena turned Bombay to Mumbai and similar political compulsions dictated changing Calcutta to Kolkata, our history is replete with examples of regional demands for name changing -- whether it is state, language, street or chowk. Erasing fancy sounding British names to earthy Indian ones is a favoured political pastime though it is unclear what dividend it pays.

After Independence,there are many cities they have lost their historical name,They are renamed by influence of some other earlier renamed cities are Kanpur (formerly Cawnpore), Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Mumbai (Bombay), Chennai (Madras), Kolkata (Calcutta), Pune (Poona) and Kochi (Cochin).And there are many name to come in future.

हिन्दी दिवस : हिन्दी नहीं अंग्रेजी को बोलबाला

एक ओर जहां तमाम सरकारी और गैर सरकारी सगठनों द्वारा हिन्दी दिवस के अवसर पर मातृभाषा हिन्दी को सर्वश्रेष्ठ भाषा बताकर तमाम काम काज हिन्दी में ही निबटाने का लोगों से आह्वान किया जा रहा है। वहीं दूसरी ओर प्रखंड के विभिन्न सरकारी गैर सरकारी शिक्षण संस्थानों सहित अधिकारियों द्वारा हिन्दी की उपेक्षा की जा रही है। ऐसे लोग अंग्रेजी भाषा का प्रयोग करने में अपना बड़प्पन समझते हैं। यही कारण है कि एक दूसरे से मिलने पर नमस्कार प्रणाम, सुप्रभात, शुभरात्रि की जगह लोग गुड मार्निग, गुड इवनिंग एवं गुड नाइट का ही प्रयोग करते हैं। इतना ही नहीं विभिन्न सरकारी गैर सरकारी विद्यालयों के शिक्षकों द्वारा अब मां पिताजी भैया बहना आदि का संबोधन करने की बच्चों को प्रेरणा नहीं दी जाती है। इसकी जगह मम्मी डैडी, ब्रदर, सिस्टर कहने की बच्चों को शिक्षा दी जाती है जिससे कि बुनियादी तौर पर ही हिन्दी पर कुठाराघात कर अंग्रेजियन थोपा जाने लगा है। राज्य सरकार ने भी विगत दिनों से हिन्दी की उपेक्षा कर अंग्रेजी को बढ़ावा देना शुरू कर दिया है। यही कारण है कि पुलिस विभाग में हिन्दी शब्द 'आरक्षी' के बदले 'पुलिस' का प्रचलन कर दिया गया है। कुछ माह पूर्व तक आरक्षी, आरक्षी अवर निरीक्षक, आरक्षी निरीक्षक, अनुमंडल आरक्षी पदाधिकारी, आरक्षी अधीक्षक आदि का प्रयोग होता था, जो हिन्दी में था। परंतु अब इसकी जगह पुलिस, पुलिस अवर निरीक्षक, पुलिस निरीक्षक, पुलिस उपाधीक्षक, पुलिस अधीक्षक का प्रयोग किया जाने लगा। राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर हिन्दी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विभिन्न रेलवे स्टेशन, बैंक सहित विभिन्न जगहों पर हिन्दी में काम करने संबंधी स्लोगन लिखे रहते हैं। परंतु व्यवहारिक तौर पर हिन्दी को नजर अंदाज कर अंग्रेजी में ही काम काज किया जा रहा है।

One Day i am watching TV at my home,M not a frequent user of watching TV.I tune to sony channel where one of the reality show was in the air.This is the very popular reality show of the sony entertainment channel.I was shocked.....Is this the reality show......what a vulgur type of content they are showing....That was not a reality show that was skin show....and the celebrities those who are participating in the show they are fearlessly doing all the crap things....

Indian television has boomed with reality shows. The much famous 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) started a new trend that resulted into the sure-shot way of entertainment for the viewers and oodles of moolah for the makers.
Soon, one after another every popular channel was boasting about its own reality show.

The list of shows is long, but the latest addition to it is Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao on Sony entertainment television.Apart from an interesting concept, the show is doing well due to excessive skin show and frequent use of abusive language.
Tuesday's episode of the show blew everyone's mind with the new entry- Negar Khan in a towel and then enjoying the sprays of water in her extremely revealing two-piece bikini.
Before Negar's skin show, this role of adding the glam quotient to the show was played by the bahu of Indian television, Shweta Tiwari.
She too flaunted her curves in the tiniest bikinis and became a hot item.

The other much spoken about show in the recent times is Sach Ka Samna. The bold concept of the show is a rip-off (oops! remake) of the famous English reality show- The Moment of Truth. The show is already making headlines for its bold, controversial questions mostly to do with notorious topics like sex and extra marital affairs.
Talking about bold reality shows how one can forget MTV Roadies. The baap of all reality shows, the infamous 'Raghu' and 'Rajiv' have befriended *beeps* on television. Abusive content is like a style statement that they flaunt with attitude.
Needless to say, MTV Splitsvilla too follows the footsteps of the former but, with curvilicious women flaunting their assets in addition.

As far as skin show is concerned, the recent reality show- MTV Fast and the Gorgeous too is not far behind. Sexed-up women raised the bar of success of the show, making it one of the most watched show on television.
Bigg Boss, the Indian adaptation of the infamous Big Brother too has bagged in extra brownie points by planting contestants like Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sambhavna Seth, Payal Rohatgi, to name a few, to their advantage. Brewing love tales and hot stories too work in their favour.
And, let's not forget the 'meanest game show on television', Dadagiri. Just like many other shows, this too has managed to bag several controversies in its kitty. The renowned 'slap video' of the show is still making rounds on the internet. As the name suggests, the show is known for the violence, abusive language and cleavage show too.
If you might have noticed, most of the shows are a total rip-off from their original shows in English. And when we say 'total' it has to mean literally with the similar situations and comparable publicity stunts. Big Brother (Brazil) could be a perfect example to it!
After witnessing all this, we zero down with a BIG QUESTION. Is it ethical to air such content on television? Especially after knowing that Indian families prefer watching TV together. Is the content appropriate for family viewing?

Today, the dominant content of the shows telecast are violence, vulgarity and sex.

Are reality shows crossing the line? Are reality shows toying with Indian sensibilities? Do you think such shows are apt for family viewing?

Yes, indeed education is bought or rather sold like a commodity in this country, where it is also worshipped like a venerable Goddess by all. What a paradox! And this sale-purchase is happening in almost every other educational institution and is not confined to any particular state or stream.
Though, everyone including the agencies that are supposed to be regulatory bodies are aware of this racket but none has ever initiated any move to weed out the menace of capitation fees. The reason behind this is very simple, education is a lucrative trade, controlled by politicians and their cohorts.
Even as lakhs of Indians rush abroad to get foreign degrees, the government continues to patronise the politician-businessmen nexus, controlling this sector, thus undermining the future of a billion plus people.
An artificial shortage created by the license-permit raj regime has ensured that education in India remains choked forever. Both the quality and quantity of education in the country remains below par, barring few institutions.
Higher education has been milched in states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. The country has around 400 medical colleges, out of which more than 200 plus are in these five states, owned, controlled and run by politician-cum-businessmen.
This art has almost been perfected, which is evident from the fact that a place like Puducherry (Pondicherry) has seven medical colleges. Such is the clout of these men with the policymakers that they manage to dictate policy and when required, escape the clutches of law.
All these issues come to fore every year during the admission season and are forgotten after that. But it's a matter of our future and we need to take a stand. Let not the smoke die down this time. Come share your thoughts on the mess in the educational system and how to cleanse it.

Last sun day(31-05-2009) i had visited MAHABLESHWAR with My some of friend.Hole day we enjoyed.Mahableshwar is very natural and Beautiful place.Mahableshwar is Around 135 KM from Pune by Road.Early morning 5 o clock we left Pune.After completing one fourth journey we stop at a DHABA where we had Breakfast and Tea. Around 2 hours journey we reached Panchgani. Panchgani is also a Hill station.We stayed sometime in Mapro garden. In panchgani we had Strawberry and Yellow carrot.Strawberry is very famous in Panchgani.We enjoyed sometimein Panchgani.then we move towards Mahableshwar.We visited Elefisten point,Monkey pont,Sucide point, Mahableshwar Temple,Panchganga Temple..etc.Mahableshwar Temple is one of the "Jyortilling" Very famous Lord Shanker Temple. Panch ganga is Also famous..people said at the same place where 5 River is comeing togather. After that we decided to visit Pratapgad fort.In PratapGad Fort Shivaji Maharaj were living there. Its is also a very beautiful Fort.

Mumbai is also known as financial capital of India. Almost all corporate headquarters is in Mumbai. India's Banking regulatory Body (Reserve Bank of India)headquarter is also in Mumbai. Bombay stock exchange(BSE),Gateway of India,etc...
I am very much excited to see the process of Mumbai Dabbawala.Mumbai Dabbawala almost 80% people are non educated still they are well managed.Mumbai dabbawala got the six sigma certification.

Thanks GOD "I am Alive".......
Last Nite i was driving on my friends Bike.I made with a Major accident. The Bike is fully damaged...that i cant explain.....Headlite, Bizer,Leg guard and other parts of the motercycle is damaged....But thanks to GOD...I am alive.
This was my first major accident....and 2nd accident of my life. 1st accident when i was in my 3rd semester...During freshers party i had organized some management games and other activity for fun. I was in organizing commitee.... I am no at all in the mood of particepation of any activity.....Unfortunatly on the request of some friends i partecepated in Dahi handi competation.
The competition was to break the handi, which is almost 30-32 feet high from the ground. i was on the top .Unfortunatly that time i broke my right hand.

And 2nd time is this major accident. This time i am lucky..No any denger or enjury to me.
Once again Thankyou GOD for giving me the new life......

Last time i visited "SINHGAD FORT".Sinhgad fort is around 30-35 km from Pune railway station. It is very beautiful and natural place. This place is alltime famous,but if u want to visit this place pls come in Dec to Jan and in the rainy season.

Belated "Happy valentine Day". When i wake up today, i usually to start my day read news paper..when i was reading news paper there are lots of news regarding opposing the valentine Day celebration. And media gives lot of space for that news. I was very disappointed.One question comes in my mind? (In Hindi) Kya pyar karna koi gunah hai?

A/c to my knowledge Love is a strong positive emotions of regards affection and devotion. A person can love to his parents ,brother, sister, friend,their work, nature, animal etc.........

The person who oppose this they don't have any work,they just want to harm people,they are destroying the nations property,public property.Most of the activist are belonging to the local political party or national party.

They should feel same on doing this type of illegal activity.They are singing only one song it will hamper the INDIAN CULTURE.

Are they know Indian culture? Indian civilisation is the oldest civilisation. Are GOD Krishna fall in love with Radha were wrong?INDIA spread the love concept all over the world.

Last week we heard the activist violent attack on a group of women in manglore pub.For this many NGO's and other institution comes in the picture,the organization starts the "Pink Chaddie campaign"I don't think so its work...but there are lots of response coming from the people side.

The entire world is facing the problem.

The inflation in Zimbabwe for the month of March 2008 rose to 355,000%! Yes, 355,000 per cent! It more than doubled from the February figure of 165,000%.Due to the sudden rise in money supply that flooded the economy to finance the 2008 elections.The Zimbabwean central bank has introduced $500 million bearer cheques (or currency notes) for the public, and $5 billion, $25 billion, $50 billion agro-cheques for farmers. Just last fortnight the nation had introduced $250 million bearer cheques.
Iraq 53.2% due to Rising oil prices, political instability, terrorism and the other post-conflict dynamics have led to inflation in the nation rise to unmanageable proportions.
Guinea 30.9%,San Tome and Principe,(an African nation) 23.1%,Yemen 20.8%(More than 87% of Yemenis live for less than $2 a day. About 52% of children less than 5 years old suffer from malnutrition) etc.

Now investor are looking for riskless and fixed return income plan or product.Investor are switching over Equity to Debt instrument. Every day,every time we begin with dampened enthusiasm and dented optimism. Our happiness is diluted and our peace is threatened by the financial illness that has infected our families, organisations and nations. Everyone is desperate to find a remedy that will cure their financial illness and help them recover their financial health. They expect the financial experts toprovide them with remedies, forgetting the fact that it is these experts who created this financial mess.

Every day, you adopt a couple of oldand new maxims as beacons to guide your future. This self-prescribed therapy has ensured that with each passing year, I grow wiser and not older. This year, I invite you to tap into the financial wisdom of our elders along with me, and become financially wiser.In this financial crisis period we should be verycautious about taking any financial decision to invesrt their hard and earned money.

According to the Finance Act, 2005 income-tax is required to be deducted under section 192 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, from income chargeable under the head "Salaries" for the financial year 2008-2009 (i.e. assessment year 2009-2010) at the following rates:

I) In case of every individual other than the individual referred to in item II and III below

The amount of income tax deducted in accordance with the provision of Chapter XVII B shall be increased by a surcharge calculated,

· In the case of every individual, HUF, association of persons and body of individuals, whether incorporated or not, at the rate of ten per cent of such tax where the income or the aggregate of such income paid or likely to be paid and subject to the deduction, exceeds rupees ten lakh.

· In the case of every firm, artificial judicial person & domestic company, at the rate of ten percent of such tax.

· In the case of every company other than domestic company, at the rate of two and half per cent of such tax

C) Education Cess:

An additional surcharge called as ‘Education cess’ shall be levied at the rate of three percent on the amount of tax deducted inclusive of surcharge as stated in paras ‘A’ and ‘B’ above.

3. Section 192 of the income-tax Act, 1961: Broad scheme of tax.

Deduction at source from "salaries" etc.
3.1 Every person who is responsible for paying any income chargeable under the head "salaries" shall deduct income-tax on the estimated income of the assessee under the head "salaries" for the financial year 2007-2008. The income-tax is required to be calculated on the basis of the rates given above and SHALL BE DEDUCTED ON AVERAGE AT THE TIME OF EACH PAYMENTS e.g. FROM SALARY EVERY MONTH.

Any income falling within any of the following clauses shall not be included in comp uti ng the income from salaries for the purpose of section 192 of the Act:-

Any sum received under a life insurance policy, including the sum allotted by way of bonus on such policy other than,

· Any sum received under sub- section(3) of section 80DD.

· Any sum received under a Keyman insurance policy.

· · Any sum received under an insurance policy affected on or after 1-4-2003 in respect of which the premium paid in any of the years during the term of the policy exceeds twenty per cent of the actual capital sum assured.

"Deduction" U/S 80C :

In comp uti ng the total income of an assessee, being an individual or a Hindu undivided family, there shall be deducted, in accordance with and subject to the provisions of this section, the whole of the amount paid or deposited in the previous year out of his Income chargeable to tax being the aggregate of the sums given below not exceeding one lakh rupees.

· Payment of insurance premium to effect or to keep in force insurance on the life of the individual, the wife or husband or any child of the individual; provided the premium paid is not in excess of twenty per cent of the actual capital sum assured.

· Any payment made to effect or to keep in force a contract for a deferred annuity, not being an annuity plan of the Life Insurance Corporation of India or any other insurer as the Central government may by notification in the official gazette specify on the life of the individual, the wife, the husband or any child of the individual provided that such contract does not contain a provision for the exercise by the insured of an option to receive a cash payment in lieu of the payment of the annuity.

· i) for participation in the Unit-Linked Insurance Plan, 1971, of the Unit Trust of India; specified in Schedule II of the Unit Trust of India (Transfer of Undertaking and Repeal) Act, 2002.
ii) for participation in any Unit-Linked Insurance Plan of the LIC Mutual Fund notified by the Central Government under clause (23D) of section 10, as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazzette, specify in this behalf

· Any subscription made to effect or keep in force a contract for such annuity plan of the Life Insurance Corporation as the Central Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, specify.

NOTE: Section 80 CCE.
The aggregate amount of deduction under section 80C, section 80CCC, and shall not, in any case exceed one lakh rupees.

Under This section, a deduction up to Rs 10,000 (Rs 15,000 in case of senior citizens) is allowed in respect of premium paid by cheque towards health insurance policy, like "Mediclaim". Such premium can be paid towards health insurance of spouse, dependent parents as well as dependent children of the assessee provided that such insurance is in accordance with the scheme framed by,

· The General Insurance Corporation of India as approved by the Central Government in this behalf or

· any other insurer and approved by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority.

However, the deduction can be allowed for a sum not exceeding Rs.20,000 per annum where the assessee or his wife or husband, or dependent parents is a senior citizen which means an individual resident in India who is of the age of sixty-five years or more at any time during the relevant previous year.

4. under section 80DD an assessee, has during the previous year.

· a. Incurred any expenditure for the medical treatment (including nursing), training and rehabilitation of a handicapped dependant; or

· b. Paid or deposited any amount under a scheme framed in this behalf by the Life Insurance Corporation or Unit Trust of India subject to the conditions specified in sub-section (2) and approved by the Board in this behalf for the maintenance of handicapped dependant. The assessee shall in accordance with and subject to the provisions of this section, be allowed a deduction of a sum of forty thousand rupees in respect of the previous year.

Provided that where such dependent is a person with severe disability, the provisions of this section shall have effect as if for the words “fifty thousand rupees(50000)”, the words “seventy five thousand rupees(75000)” had been substituted.

The assessee claiming a deduction under this section shall furnish a copy of the certificate issued by the medical authority in the prescribed form and manner, along with the return of income under section 139 in respect of assessment year for which the deduction is claimed.

Few myths about investing

What do you do when your entire stock market investment suddenly halves in value - as it has for many people since January last year? Curse fate? Rail against market manipulators? Abuse the government for failing to protect your wealth?

You can do all that, but none of it will bring your money back. The best thing you can do is to look back and learn from it all. The world's best investors have done just that and made tons of money in the process. They then proceeded to write books on their successes, and made even more moolah.

Good for them, but not for you. Peter Lynch's bestseller, One-Up On Wall Street, earned him good money, but don't assume you will achieve the same success by following his methods. Success can never be copied.

The best way to start is by exploding a few myths and questioning the half-truths that pass for timeless wisdom. Let's start by examining them one by one.

Myth 1: Stock market investments will always outperform bonds and fixed-return avenues in the long run.

It's been true so far only if you stretch the definition of long run. Is five years long run enough, or 10 or 15? If you had invested in stocks in 1992, you wouldn't have beaten a bank fixed deposit in terms of returns for 10-12 years. In other words, the best definition of long run is almost forever. If you invest at market peaks, and the times are bad — as they seem now — you may have to wait 10-15 years to beat ordinary bank deposits. You may be lucky, and the markets may revive immediately, but if you aren't, stocks will outperform fixed avenues only over very long stretches. So, be prepared to wait.

Myth 2: Look at stock fundamentals, and you can never go wrong.

Again, this is partly untrue. The value of your stock — any stock — can rise only if others keep buying it. Even an Infosys can rise only if lots of people think its price will rise. This could be influenced by its profitability and other "fundamental" factors, but what gives you returns is liquidity — the willingness of other people to keep buying your stock in large numbers.

Myth 3: The amount you must invest in equity is 100 minus your age.

This is not bad advice, but the real point is your ability to shoulder risk. The assumption behind this formula is that when you are 20, you don't have dependents, and thus can afford to invest 80% of your spare cash in equity. I would restate this proposition by saying that the amount you invest in equity should depend on how much you are willing to lose forever. Equity should get as much money as you are willing to write off from your wealth. At 60, with my children married and a decent pension, I might want to risk 80% of my wealth in equity. It's fine, as long as I am prepared to lose it all.

Myth 4: Time in the market is more important that timing the market.

This is the same as myth 1, which says that the longer you stay invested, the more chances of you making money. Again, only partly true. Good investors know that timing is all. While no one can call market peaks or troughs correctly all the time, we all can figure out whether the market is in a bearish phase or bullish. You must time the market by investing more in bearish phases and less at other times.

Myth 5: Government bonds and debt investments are risk-free.

This is completely wrong. All listed instruments carry risks — including government bonds. At the very least, they carry interest-rate risk. When interest rates rise, the value of your bond falls — and you lose money. The only way to not lose money is to hold bonds to maturity, which is not a bad option for pensioners and others who want the income.

Myth 6: Buy land, for they ain't making any more of it no more.

This has been true for so long that people actually believe in it. However, the proposition depends on two premises — a growing population and economy, and fixed supplies of land. In stable economies with stable populations, real estate gives you returns similar to other avenues. In populous countries like India, realty prices do keep rising, but largely in urban centres and largely because the market structure is weak.

Today 31 st Dec is the last day of 2008. I want to share my experience of last day of the 2008. Last night 30th december I am busy for my last presentation of 2008 and 1st presentation of 4th semester of my PGDM course.Topic of my presentation is ECB & FCCB (External commercial borrowing & Foreign currency convertible bond) of merchant banking subject. Early morning(5:30) i wake up and practice 3-4 times of my presentation topic.
My presentation timing is from 9:00. I reach college 5 minute late,when i went to my class room the class room was lock, "i was surprise and confused today is my presentation or not".

Any way after sometime some of the my classmet also came for the attending the lecture. Around 9:30 am my presentation had started .This presentation is my last presentation of the 2008 so ,i have decided this presentation should be memorable.That was the group presentation.In that presentation my part was FCCB(Foreign Currency Convertable Bond).I would like to thanks my group member Parikshit Gupta and Shaurav Dwivedi and special thanks to listener those who come for the lecture. Our group received a very good comment from the faculty member.

After completing the presentation and lecture of Merchant Banking Classes,we all friends decided to go the "OCTORI NAKA".(A place where tax will be collected by the Municiple corporation) Octori naka is infront of MY institute. Where we used to go regular for tea and snacks. After taking tea and snacks i have decided to go to the hostel for sleeping, coz last night i haven't sleep. I reached hostel around 2:00 PM,after refreshing ourself i go to the bed. After half n hour i received a call from a company (I dont want to disclose the company name),a girl called her age is around 20-22,she just start speaking.Her voice is so sweet,i can't explain. In last i immediatly told her "can you give me your Number?" for the moment she stuck for a few second aftre that she gives me her personal number..............After that whats happen I also dont know????

Around 3:30 i got a call from college,there is a emergency meeting of all FINANCE specialisation student.witing 15 minute i was in the college.

In evening my friends come to my hostel room and asking about the NEW YEAR PARTY. After a long discussion we had decided somthing to do in the eve of coming new year 2009. Hole night we enjoyed........................................,,,,,,,,,,, around 4o'clock morning of 1st january 2009,we decided to take a cup of tea........we don't have any other place rather than Octori naka. The night was very cold around the temperature was 8 degree. When i reached octori naka i saw "BONE FIRE" In colder day/night the people used fire wood or any material for the prevention of coldness. I sudden remember my older days when i was in class 8th -9th .i was the volunteer of scout and guide that time we have 8 -10 days camp in the village. That time the volunteer take a part of this programe and present any drama,mokery, singing song competition,and many other activity. we sear arund the fire..... any way.......

I think this was last party of my college life........ after that i am entering my corporate life.......but last night i enjoyed........

III COMMONWEALTH YOUTH GAMES 2008 (PUNE)

Its too late to write about the 3rd commonwealth youth games which was held in pune during the perion 12th -18th october 2008. It was a great experiance to me be a part of "TEAM PUNE".

Its the first time the 3rd commonwealth youth games was held in ASIA specially in INDIA.

History of commonwealth games:-

The first commonwealth youth games were held inEdinburgh,scotland from 10th -14th august 2000.
The second commonwealth youth games were held in Bendigo,Australia from 30th november-3rd december 2004
Third commonwealth youth games were held in Pune,India from 12th october-18th october 2008.

It was the first time all 71 commonwealth countries were particepating in this mega sports event.In this sports event there were 9 catogery/deceplines of games were conducted.These are Athelitics, swimming, Boxing,Wrestling,Badminton,Table Tennis,Shooting,Weightlifting and Tennis.

In this mega sports event INDIA stood the first rank with 33 Gold, 26 Silverand 17 Bronze.2nd position AUSTRALIA with total 65 medal including 24 Gold, 19 Silver and 22 Bronze and in the third position ENGLAND with 41 medals.

In this sports event there were around 5000 volunteer are working Day and Night for the sucessful of the event as a TEAM PUNE member.

The mascot of the 3rd commonwealth games 2008 were "JIGRR"

Today i visited MAHABIO 2008 Exibition at Pune agriculture college campus in shivajinagar,pune. There are laks of people visited that event.Mahabio 2008 is organised by Government of Maharastra on the occasion of the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Where i saw there are many of the farmers who come from the villages they learnt how to use the technology,that can he improve their cultivation.

In MAHABIO 2008 ,there are many segments of the events

1 Distrilation Technology :- Many of the companies of Liqure industries has a stall they exibited many types of wines.

2 Horticulture Department:- Many types of flowers exibition by the different state of horticulture departments.

It is very helpful to interpersonal communication, 90% people communicate through non-verbal communication. In non-verbal communication, words are not used.
Non-verbal communication consist these:-
1. Eye contact

3. Posture (Body movement)
4. Gesture (Arm movement)

1. EYE CONTACT:-
Eye contact shows how much you are confident? Always maintain eye contact while you are delivering speech or giving presentation.
* Smile & make eye contact while we shake hands others.
* Make eye contact but do not stare.

2. VOICE MODULATION:-
Voice modulation shoes your emotions.
* Keep tone sweet while you are talking to other person. Because tone is your expression, how can you express yourself during public speech, business meetings etc.

3. POSTURE (Body movement):-
Posture makes a very big role in non-verbal communication.
* A person body language speak that all times may conflict with his/ her words but correctly interpreted the unspoken messages.
* Your posture gives a different message than your words.
* Stand erect, relaxed & weight on booth feet’s.
