Women's Reservation Bill

"या देवी सर्व भूतेषु शक्ति रूपेण संस्मृता....नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः"
This is New step taken by Congress Government (UPA) to Empower Indian Woman's through giving her 30% reservation in Indian Parliament House.Woman's Reservation Bill is most awaited Bill its takes around 14 year in discussion and finally The Bill is Passed in Parliament.
But only giving her chance to enter in Politics can women will Empowered?
Currently There are 59 women lawmakers in the lower house of parliament at present, out of a maximum of 545.
545* 0.33% =181 Total MP In Parliament
545* 0.50% == 274 Seats for Ruling Party
274- 181 == 93 seats only for Ruling Party
545- 181 == 367 Seats for all including (Man & Women)

Current Scenario in our Society:-
On daily basis if we count In rural & Urban area around more than 1000 women s are harnessed by Male, 100 are raped, 50 women suicide themselves due to Dowry.
Than how can we say after this Reservation bill the women will empowered.

Very true Gaurav, I agree with you and I will like to share my views regarding this.

"Women do not need reservation rather they need aegis..!!"

Women are substantial enough to challenge their counterparts and even compete them without any external succor.
If some one is so concerned about women's welfare and empowerment then they should rescue the women who are beaten by their husband the girl child fetus that are buried in their mother's womb...recover those women who are burnt for dowry...ensure the security of women who are unescorted in late night hours...assure the education of every female in India..
What is required is "equal opportunities" and not reservation..

Conclusion is that reservation to any specific community and religion aid to social injustice and discrimination.It is good for no caste,no community,no religion and no individual.
